Advanced tape-lifting for forensic DNA-investigation

The Genelift™ DNA Collector Collector is an innovative tool for collecting dry DNA traces  using an optimized tape-lifting technique. The product was developed in collaboration with the Forensic Institute of the Saxony Police and has been extensively tested under operational and  laboratory conditions. 
 
PRODUCT FEATURES

• DNA-free packaging and suitable for immediate use in the field or laboratory
• Flexible adhesive head for optimal adhesion to flat and uneven surfaces
• High adhesive strength for up to approximately 50 applications per collector
• Minimal contamination risks thanks to controlled handling and protective cap
• Compatible with standard forensic protocols for traceable and reproducible investigation

AREAS OF APPLICATION
 
The Genelift™ DNA Collector is suitable for securing DNA traces on:

• Textile surfaces such as collars, sleeves, and armpit areas
  
• Tool handles, steering wheels, knives, helmets, and other utensils
• Body surfaces of victims or suspects
• Impact marks and contact areas on persons
• Large surfaces: easy to divide into sections for systematic sampling

Not suitable for moist or wet traces such as blood or saliva.
In that case, use a swab according to protocol.
