Magnetic fluorescent powders

Magnetic fluorescent powders allow relatively easy photographing of fingerprints on textured or variously colored surfaces, without lifting. Just as with fluorescent powders for use with a brush, development of the prints should be closely monitored. Use a UV lamp or Polilight and viewing goggles during powdering.

Magnetic Blitz-Green^TM and Blitz-Red^TM fluoresce at excitation in a wide wavelength range: from UV into green light. Since Blitz-Red has a wider excitation wavelength range (higher into the green) than Blitz-Green, its fluorescence is higher (orange/red, about 600 nm) than that of Blitz-Green (in the green, about 520 nm).
